From May 5th to October 31st, 2024, the traveling exhibition "Germany's Mineral Resources", designed by LEISE Design for the Carl Bosch Museum, was shown at its third stop. The exhibition venue was the open-air museum in Hagen, the Westphalian State Museum for Crafts and Technology.

As one of the largest natural history museums in Germany, the State Museum of Natural History in Karlsruhe recorded more than 120,000 visitors during the duration of the exhibition "Germany's Mineral Resources" from July 2023 to April 2024. The Carl Bosch Museum's traveling exhibition was thus able to bring knowledge about our domestic mineral resources to a large number of people interested in natural sciences at its second stop.

Nach vierjähriger Entwicklungsdauer wurde am 15.10.2021 die Wanderausstellung «Deutschlands Bodenschätze» an ihrer ersten Station im Carl Bosch Museum in Heidelberg eröffnet.
Die Ausstellung macht unsere heimischen Rohstoffe im wörtlichen Sinne begreifbar. Unterstützt von zahlreichen interaktiven Hands-on Stationen und digitalen Exponaten mit Filmen und Quizzen, lädt sie die Besuchenden zum Ausprobieren, Entdecken, Diskutieren und Mitmachen ein.

Tenth station of the nitrogen exhibition
The public science project “Green Clover and Dynamite – Nitrogen and Life” designed by LEISE Design will be shown at its tenth exhibition station from April 11 to August 26, 2018.

LEISE Design gestaltet YU Broschüre
The first detailed brochure on the YU furniture system, which Knut Völzke developed for the Siegen manufacturer Konstantin Slawinski. The brochure explains the expanded possibilities of the shelving system with a new width module, sliding door element and product matrix. The sideboard range and other new furniture configurations of the system are presented for the first time.
The LEISE design studio is responsible for the concept, layout, text, renderings and photo setting.

Color Exhibition in Audioversum Innsbruck

EL & BIG EL win design award for sustainability
The modular storage and occasional furniture EL & BIG EL win the “Design Plus 2017” award, which this year is presented as an “Ethical Style Edition”.
The jury writes: With this modular system made of durable materials, everyone decides for themselves whether it should be a bedside table, a magazine rack or something completely different. Every user and every generation can redesign it again and again.

Applied Design in School
Abschlusspräsentation des Modellunterrichtsfachs «Gestaltung in Anwendung – Angewandte Kunst in der Schule» im Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt am Main vom 1. bis 10. Juli 2016.
Unter der Leitung von Knut Völzke übten Schülerinnen und Schüler der Frankfurter Gesamtschule IGS Nordend den Umgang mit Formen, Farben und Proportionen. Sie nutzten Ausstellungen des Museums für unterschiedliche Fragestellungen und wurden am Ende des Schuljahres zu kompetenten Gestaltern funktionstauglicher Objekte für ihr unmittelbares Lebensumfeld.



New Fair for Contemporary and Modern Art
The new fair format «Positions Berlin» is part of the «Berlin Art Week 2014» and is directed by Kristian Jarmuschek, gallery owner and long-time co-director of the «Preview Berlin Art Fair».
The Leise Design Studio was commissioned with the general planning of the exhibition architecture.

Bauhaus Essentials Weimar
Knut Völzke, owner and creative director of the LEISE design studio, was appointed as a jury member for the Weimar "Bauhaus Essentials" and the "Grafe-Kreativ Prize 2012". Together with Gina Mönch and John Russo, he will award prizes for outstanding work by students in the design department at the Bauhaus University.
From October 18 to November 17, 2012, the award-winning works will be presented at the Neues Museum Weimar in an exhibition organized by «marke.6».

Eleven Years of Young Design in Progress
The book "10+1" has been published by avedition. It includes works by 65 selected young designers out of a total of 600 that Messe Frankfurt presented at the "Ambiente" and "Tendence" between 2001 and 2012. Knut Völzke was one of the "Talents" in 2004 and is one of the designers selected for the book.

Graphic Design «Design Germany 2011»
LEISE Design was commissioned by the German Design Council to design the entire visual appearance of the “Design Germany 2011” project in addition to the exhibition architecture.
The work included the development of the key visual, the 50-page booklet, exhibit signage, invitation card, stickers, carrying bag and the facade banner.




New Exhibition Design 02
In July 2010, the book “New Exhibition Design 02 / Neue Ausstellungsgestaltung 02” was published by avedition Stuttgart. It contains selected scenographic projects, trade fair and exhibition designs by international architects and designers.
In the section «Experiment / Avant-garde», the authors and editors Philipp Teufel and Uwe J. Reinhardt report on the project designed by LEISE Design
«40 Private Objects Identified», which was shown at the Kölnischer Kunstverein in January 2007.

Leise collection as a new classic
In the almost 600-page new reference work "Wohndesign Deutschland - Die Klassiker" (Living Design Germany - The Classics), author and editor Bernd Polster describes around 150 German living classics that are considered timeless. From furniture and lighting to porcelain tableware, he presents them in detailed product portraits. The furniture from the Leise collection is also included.

Design 2007
Under the title "You should be free, wild and brave", Christian Gärtner (CEO of Stylepark AG) presents a selection of young international designers in the December issue of the magazine "Lufthansa Exclusive" who he sees as trend-setting for 2007. They are Jaime Hayon (Hayon Studio), Knut Völzke (Leise Design), Stefan Diez (Stefan Diez Industrial Design), Aamu Song (Company) and Francois Azambourg.

The Leise collection has received a nomination for the “Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2007”.
Participants cannot apply for the competition, known as the “Prize of Prizes”, but are nominated by the state economics ministries or the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.




Quiet collection in Las Vegas and Mumbai
After the Leise collection was shown at the beginning of the year in the international trend show of the «imm cologne 2006» in Cologne, the Leise furniture crossed the oceans over the course of the year and was presented at the imm cologne trend shows in Las Vegas and Mumbai.

Deutscher Preis für Dreidimensionalität
In November 2006, the German Prize for Three-Dimensional Design "DP3D - The Golden Flame" was awarded for the first time. The new prize recognizes outstanding design achievements that noticeably reflect the importance of three-dimensional brand management in the design of buildings, spatial staging or product design.
We are delighted that the LEISE collection has been awarded the “Outstanding” rating.

Young German Design
On June 7, 2006, the exhibition "Young German Design" was opened in the Society for Art and Design in Bonn. Curated by the German Design Council, the exhibition provides an advanced overview of current trends in German design.
In addition to furniture from the LEISE collection by Knut Völzke, the exhibition features works by Werner Aisslinger, Blohmgumm, Boge & Frey, Matthias Demacker, Stefan Diez, Jörg Gätjens, Konstantin Grcic, Jürgen Huber, Esther Perbandt, Judith Seng, Spezial Produktgestaltung and Studio Vertijet.

International Design Award Baden-Württemberg
The LEISE collection won the Baden-Württemberg International Design Award "Focus Energy 2006 in Silver". More than 70 products were awarded, from fire engines to citrus presses. In the furniture category, the jury restricted itself to eight products from six manufacturers. In addition to the LEISE collection, these included furniture from Wilkhahn, Nils Holger Moormann, Walter Knoll, Interstuhl and Vitra.

The new event format "The Design Annual" premiered in Frankfurt from May 6 to 10, 2006. Stylepark developed a presentation forum for high-end design from various product areas together with Messe Frankfurt. The furniture manufacturer "Nils Holger Moormann" was also represented, and Leise Design built the exhibition stand for them.




Blickfang Stuttgart
LEISE Design was invited to exhibit at the special exhibition «Magazine presents best of Cologne» at the design fair «Blickfang Stuttgart 2006».
From March 17 to 19, around 160 designers and manufacturers from the furniture, lighting, fashion and jewelry sectors will be showing their collections in the Liederhalle in Stuttgart. The fair is open to anyone interested in design.

LEISE wins «interior innovation award»
From January 16th to 22nd, 2006, LEISE Design exhibited for the first time at the «imm cologne», the International Furniture Fair in Cologne. An intensive week with many new contacts, enormous press coverage and, last but not least, winning the «interior innovation award cologne 2006» in the «best system» category.

We are delighted that in the exhibition, furniture from the LEISE collection was shown in the Storytelling setting in an unusual application as a shelf installation.

In addition to the travelling exhibition of the same name, the book “Dust – Mirror of the Environment” was published by Oekom Verlag Munich in January 2006.
"Dust tells stories about the state of our environment, about ecological relationships, about cosmic events and about the worlds of the past. We would like to present some of these stories that can be read out of the dust in this book."

LEISE in Tokyo
As part of the event «Germany in Japan 2005/2006», Knut Völzke was selected with the LEISE collection as one of four «German Talents» to exhibit in the German Pavilion at the «Interior Lifestyle» trade fair in Tokyo from June 8th to 10th, 2005.
