LEISE May, August, Julies
Furniture without a top or bottom. Seven colors, combined with a special material.
The versatile uses, the formal clarity and the exclusive material processing are the unmistakable features of the first LEISE collection. It has received several design awards and is manufactured in Germany in high-quality craftsmanship.
All products consist of an exclusively manufactured, fine slatted board made of local softwood, which is covered on both sides with a silky matt, colored laminate. A process developed by LEISE makes it possible for the first time to visibly process the natural wood material on the edges. The monochrome color of the surfaces and the natural grain of the sanded, polished wood edges underline their unique character.

In general, we understand furniture to mean: table, chair, shelf, cupboard. The furniture in the LEISE collection evades conventional categories and, depending on the intended use, can be a magazine rack, lowboard, bedside table or sofa table, as well as media furniture, shelves, side tables, stools, laundry boxes or benches. Their clarity is not spoilt by any handle holes, fittings or complicated mechanisms. This is how low-complexity objects were created that are more functional furniture or more objects, depending on their use.
To some observers, the Leise collection must seem like a collection of color and material samples. The material of the Leise collection clearly shows its structure: inside, the finely crafted, specially manufactured slatted board with the distinctive head wood and the visible pattern of the longitudinal wood. On the surfaces, resistant synthetic resin coatings with a silky matt, colored surface. Furniture as an understatement of its high quality. Formally reserved, they are at the same time self-confident in their seven colors: the white tone is not cold, the beige is sand-colored, lilac, red and blue are uncompromisingly strong, a warm gray and finally - much more than brown - a rich mocha tone.
May and MayMay can be combined with the Julies: The tray becomes the lid and the small shelf becomes a container. May can be placed on the Julies and moved around; several of them close the box completely and create a storage unit.
Finally, August is a departure from the crowd. It is a solitaire, a small cube that can be used as a shelf or pedestal, functional yet abstract.
